The ability to swear belongs to the Tzaddik who keeps the covenant but a person who is not at this level and does not keep his oath is violating the covenant --- the relation between the motivating principle of truth and the manifest act of swearing, Truth is a driving force in the soul that connects the subconscious to the conscious by the act of swearing, It is written in the Book of Tanya, that before a person comes into the world he swears to be righteous and not evil, the ability to draw power to be righteous by the power of the oath.---- The truth will grow from the earth אמת מארץ תצמח, this is the connection between Yesod and Malchut.
